MARION NEEDHAM KRUPP

Marion Needham Krupp was born in Brooklyn, New York and now resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her husband, Fred, and their three Scottish Terriers, Calvin, Cassy and Hobbes and wire-haired Dachshund, Clara. She received her formal art training at the High School of Art and Design, NYC, New York University, Parsons School of Design, and Brooklyn College from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She continues her studies in painting, life drawing and printmaking.

She is a member of the Scottish Terrier Club of America, the Scottish Terrier Club of Greater New York, Wee Scots Collectors Club (Scottish Terrier Memorabilia), the Dog Writers Association of America and the Audubon Society. She is very active in Scottish Terrier rescue efforts.

Her work appears in numerous permanent collections including the Dog Museum of America in St. Louis, Missouri, the Philadelphia Zoological Society's Primate Center and in many private collections throughout the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Germany and Austria. She has exhibited at various regional and national shows and galleries including, "Contemporary Dogs American Paintings," at the William Secord Gallery in NYC; The Society of Illustrators in NYC; the "Art Show at the Dog Show" in Wichita, KS; "Contemporary American Dog Art," Dog Fanciers Club in NYC; "Audubon Society Wildlife Art Exhibition" in New Hope, PA; the Dog Museum's "Artists Registry Exhibition"; "Animals in Art" at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA; "Animal Imagery Art Show," at St. Hubert's Giralda in Madison, NJ; and a one woman Art Show at St. Hubert's Giralda Animal Imagery Shop.

Throughout her career, Marion has won numerous awards for her paintings, etchings and drawings. The awards include, "Best in Show" at the "Art Show at the Dog Show," "Best Painting" award from the Dog Fanciers Club, the "Award of Distinction" for painting from St. Hubert's Giralda "Animal Imagery Art Show," the Montgomery County Kennel Club Award for "Best Entry Depicting a Terrier" at the "Art Show at the Dog Show."
